No two boards are alike, but there are common traits, practices, and initiatives that lead to a successful and effective board. We'll look at 3 different boards and highlight why one is high-functioning, what a new board needs to do to get going, and why a third is dysfunctional. Attendees will leave the session with a firm understanding of what it takes to have a successful board and how to identify the warning signs of a board going in the wrong direction. The presenters each have over 30 years of experience in the ESOP industry, and they attend about 60 board meetings a year as a board members, consultants, or ESOP trustees.
