Making the transition to a new CEO can be a traumatic experience for a company; if not done well, it can have dramatic effects on the ESOP, as well as on the employee-owners themselves. To make these transitions as smooth as possible and ensure no business interruption, ESOPs should be planning (and acting) well in advance of the actual transition. This session will go through the ideal scenario for managing a CEO or other key executive transition, including a timeline of dates and activities to be conducted along the way and who is best to lead and conduct these activities.
